Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir graced the rollout ceremony of the state-of-the-art HAIDER tank as the chief guest at Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) today.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the event saw the esteemed presence of key dignitaries, including the Ambassador of the Peoples Republic of China and high-ranking officials from the Chinese state company NORINCO, underscoring the strong collaboration between Pakistan and China in defense technology.
HAIDER, the latest addition to Pakistan's armored warfare arsenal, was unveiled amidst much anticipation. Crafted through a seamless fusion of indigenous expertise and Chinese partnership, the tank showcases remarkable advancements in firepower, protection, and maneuverability, cementing its position as a formidable force on the battlefield, the ISPR added.
During the ceremony, HAIDER, the latest addition to Pakistan's armored warfare arsenal, was unveiled amidst much anticipation, as well as the strides made towards achieving self-reliance in arms manufacturing.
In a gesture of appreciation, General Munir visited various manufacturing facilities within the Heavy Industrial Complex, acknowledging the dedication and hard work of the officers and workforce in achieving yet another technological milestone for Pakistan's defense industry.
