Peshawar Zalmi coach Darren Sammy on Sunday credited his players for sealing the playoff spot for the ninth time in the ongoing edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Speaking to media in Karachi, Sammy said: “Credit goes to the players for showing such a temperament.”
He underlined the importance of rallying behind the fringe players, saying. “We have expressed confidence in youngsters from the first day.”
Sammy made it clear that he had “unique” love for the Zalmi, saying, “I put all-out efforts into coaching.”
Acknowledging the importance of Babar Azam in the Zalmi, Sammy said: “Babar Azam has brought experience to the team. Babar Azam is a superstar who continues to learn.”
Expressing his wish to witness the PSL matches in Peshawar, Sammy stated: “We are waiting to see matches in Peshawar. A day will come when we will play cricket in Peshawar and see the welcome from the fans.”
