The Airport Security Force (ASF) at Islamabad Airport, in a swift raid, intercepted a passenger attempting to smuggle a significant quantity of crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as crystal ice, to Doha.
The ASF personnel discovered approximately three kilogrammes of crystal ice hidden at the bottom of the passenger's bag, identified as Muhammad Waqas Arif. The value of the seized drugs is estimated to be more than Rs60 million.
Thanks to the vigilance and thorough search conducted by ASF officials, the attempt to smuggle the illicit drugs was thwarted, preventing their transportation out of the country.
Following the discovery, the suspect was apprehended, and both the suspect and the confiscated narcotics were handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) for further legal proceedings.
