The govt has announced major adjustments to various National Savings Schemes. The latest changes bring good news for investors, as the rates of return on several schemes have been uplifted.
According to the official statement, the rate of return on Behbood Certificates has been increased by 24 basis points, now standing at an attractive 15.60%.
Similarly, investors in Special Savings Certificates will benefit from a 20 basis point hike, with the interest rate now sitting at 15.80%.
Pensioners are also set to gain as the rate of return on Pensioners Benefits Accounts sees a 24 basis point increase, reaching 15.60%.
Moreover, the rate of profit on Shuhada Family Welfare Account has been adjusted to match that of the Welfare Certificates, standing at a promising 15.60%.
However, not all schemes saw an increase. The interest rate on Short Term Savings Certificates experienced a decrease of 76 basis points, settling at 19%.
