The United Arab Emirates (UAE) government has announced a one-week holiday for its employees to celebrate Eidul Fitr. The break will begin on Monday, April 8th and extend until Sunday, April 14th.
As per reports, educational institutions are set to reopen on April 15 following the Eid break. However, the announcement of Eid holidays for the private sector is pending and is anticipated to also span seven days.
In alignment with Saudi Arabia, which announced its Eidul Fitr date for April 10, the UAE is expected to celebrate Eid on the same day. Saudi Arabia had declared a week-long holiday for Eid festivities a week prior to the UAE's announcement.
Meanwhile, in Saudi Arabia, both the public and private sectors are slated to observe Eidul Fitr holidays for four days, spanning from Monday, April 8, to Thursday, April 11.
