For the first time ever, Pakistan unveiled its sparkling side to the world at the Health Engineering and Mineral Show (HEMS 2025), held in Lahore at a local hotel.
Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and the Ministry of Commerce jointly organized the exclusive Gems and Jewelry Show brought together tradition, talent, and timeless design on a scale never seen before in the country.
International delegations from dozens of countries including European counties and a number of Asian and African countries attended the fashion show and praised the Pakistan’s gems and jewelry showcasing.
From the moment the lights dimmed and the first model stepped onto the runway, it was clear that this wasn’t just any showcase. This was a celebration — of heritage, craftsmanship, and creative ambition.
The runway turned into a glittering tribute to Pakistan’s rich legacy in gemstone mining and jewelry-making, with statement pieces worn by models in a curated fashion show. But it wasn’t just about glitz and glam — it was about powerful partnerships. The show featured stunning collaborations between jewelry houses and Pakistan’s leading fashion designers including Waseem Jewelers with House of HSY, Almas Jewelers with Munib Nawaz, Heritage Jewelers with Zonia Anwaar, and many more. Fashion institutions joined in — the Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design’s Jewelry and Gemological Science Department paired up with Lulusar to showcase the next generation of design brilliance.
Each pairing told a story through handcrafted emeralds, rubies, gold, and silver — blending traditional techniques with modern flair. From the intricacies of hand-cut gemstones to bold contemporary forms, the collections reflected the diversity and depth of Pakistani artistry.
While the show was a standalone highlight, it tied perfectly into the bigger vision of HEMS 2025: showcasing Pakistan’s creative and industrial strengths with an eye on global markets. The event wasn’t just about appreciation — it was about opportunity. With international buyers, fashion media, and trade representatives in attendance, local designers had a rare chance to connect directly with global players and explore long-term export partnerships.
Takell Events and PR managed the production, with designer Rizwan Beyg directing the show.
For an industry long admired for its raw beauty but underrepresented on global stages, the HEMS Gems and Jewelry Show was a game-changer. It sent a clear message: Pakistan is not just a source of precious stones — it's a hub for refined luxury, cultural richness, and innovation in design.
With this landmark event, Pakistan has stepped confidently into the international spotlight, laying the foundation for future showcases and positioning itself as a rising star in the global jewelry and fashion landscape.
