Overseas Pakistanis in Germany have made a remarkable contribution to the country's remittances in just two months.
The data released by the State Bank of Pakistan shows that remittances from Germany reached a staggering $88.5 million in July and August, marking a significant increase compared to the same period last year.
According to the official figures, Pakistani expatriates in Germany have shown their strong financial support to their homeland.
The remittances for July and August this year have surged by 5.3% when compared to the same months in the previous fiscal year.
In August alone, a record-breaking $44.3 million was sent back to Pakistan by our fellow countrymen working diligently in Germany.
This figure surpassed last year's August remittances by a significant margin, where only $40.5 million was sent home.
During the first two months of this fiscal year, Overseas Pakistanis have remitted $4.12 billion.
This amount shows a decrease from the same period last year, which stood at $5.25 billion.
These remittances play a vital role in stabilizing the country's foreign exchange reserves and are a testament to the strong bond between Pakistan and its overseas community.
