PTI Founder Imran Khan has claimed that he has never fought with the army, but former army chief General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa stabbed them in the back.
In an informal conversation with the media at Adiala Jail, Imran said he could have de-notified Gen Bajwa, but did not. “Despite all this, we formed a committee to meet General Bajwa,” he recalled.
He further remarked that the army chief wasn’t the entire army, and he did not get elected with votes.
“General Yahya also destroyed the country for his power,” he alleged.
To a question about hopes of justice from Chief Justice of Pakistan, he said the entire nation was watching, so he did not want to give his opinion.
“Today, the country has changed and people have become aware,” he said, adding that the PTI was called traitors, implicated in May 9 cases, but the nation declared on February 8 where it stood.
“Several judges, Mohsin Naqvi, the chief election commissioner, and the caretaker government were all part of the London Plan,” the PTI founder alleged, challenging that if elections were held again today, the nation would again respond with the same result.
Imran said despite his government being overthrown, if he could meet former army chief Bajwa twice, he could meet anyone.
“In the current situation, the judiciary is not independent at all,” he alleged.
Regarding the poisoning allegations by his wife and discrepancies in both their statements, he said it could not be determined until Bushra Bibi’s endoscopy.
