Ali Abbas Zafar's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan will feature action sequences from Tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar. The two of them have been very busy promoting the film, which opens next week.
Tiger and Akshay made an appearance on The Beer Biceps Show recently. The presenter spoke with them about meme culture and how certain stills and scenes from earlier films have turned into well-known meme icons. Akshay also disclosed that during filming, the team would make guesses as to which scene would go viral as a meme.
During their conversation, Akshay Kumar, star of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, questioned the host about the process of creating the memes and why they were made. The host told him that comedy generally offends people. Because of this, there are less comedy films being produced.
Akshay Kumar made a subtle jab at the influence of woke culture on comedy. "Tumhe lagta hai ke comedy jo hai yeh kam kyun hoti jaa rahi hai. Itna log woke culture kyun le ke aaye hain apne yahan? (Do you know why comedy is decreasing? Why have so many people brought woke culture here?).”
The host tells him that comedy will resume and that the woke culture is about to end. In his next response, the star hints at the third instalment of the hit comedy film, Heri Pheri, being made.
“Lekin abhi aa jayega, yeh saal, agle saal tak. Kaafi comedy filmein aa jayengi, 2-3 toh main hi kar raha hoon. Welcome kar raha hoon, Housefull kar raha hoon, phir shayad Hera Pheri bhi karunga (But it will come now, this year, by next year. Quite a few comedy films will be released. Out of these, I'm doing a couple of them myself. I’m doing Welcome to the Jungle, Housefull 5 and I might do Hera Pheri 3 too).”
“Maza aata hai comedy mein. Bada hi ajeeb lagta hai jab log bade strict ho jaate hai. Arre mazaq nahi hai (It feels really strange when people become very strict. I’m just doing a part; I’m just playing a character,” Akshay Kumar added.
