Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb recently met with Martin Raiser, the World Bank's regional vice president for South Asia, to discuss key areas of collaboration and progress on various initiatives.
The meeting culminated in the FM expressing satisfaction over the upcoming finalization of the new country partnership framework between Pakistan and the World Bank.

During the meeting, the minister highlighted the significant strides made in sectors such as energy and tax reform, emphasizing that both short-term and long-term goals are being achieved. He also underscored that the priorities of the World Bank and the Pakistani government are aligned on crucial issues like climate change, digitalization, and human development.
Minister Aurangzeb emphasized the importance of timely completion of development projects and the necessity of attaining desired outcomes.
The discussions also focused on collaborative measures to drive reforms in the agricultural sector and enhance access to clean water, addressing critical needs within the country. Both parties reached consensus on the importance of these initiatives and agreed to work together to implement targeted reforms and projects.
