New conditions have been issued for family Iqama in the UAE
According to local media, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship said about the new conditions that any foreigner residing in the Emirates can obtain Iqama for his family.
For family residence, a minimum income of 4,000 dirhams or 3,000 dirhams per month and proof of residence must be submitted.
Every family member above the age of 18 must have a medical examination for family Iqama. Checkups will only be accepted from approved medical facilities.
According to the authorities, the relatives of the iqama holder may change their visitor visa into an iqama if they are already living in the emirate on a temporary entry visa.
The conversion procedure to Iqama must be finished within 60 days after arrival in the UAE.
As per the announcement, 'e-channels' or the authority website can also be used to apply for Iqama.
