Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended on Sunday the Islamic Development Bank's (IDB) role in the rehabilitation of the flood-stricken people in Pakistan.
According to details, the premier held a meeting with Islamic Development Bank Mohammed President Sulaiman Al Jasser in Riyadh. PM Shehbaz had expressed his gratitude to the IDB for investing $1 billion in various projects.
Both PM Shehbaz and the IDB president resolved to wrap up the development projects in Pakistan as soon as possible.
– PM Shehbaz vows to contain malaria –
Few days back, the premier vowed to contain malaria. Expressing his thoughts on the occasion of World Malaria Day, the premier said: "Pakistan stands by the rest of the world in terms of observing World Malaria Day."
The premier underlined the concerns in connection with malaria, saying, ""Every year, 10 million citizens suffer from malaria."
"Every individual should have access to a free medical checkup and treatment for malaria," PM Shehbaz said.
