A bizarre road rage incident in St. Petersburg last week resulted in a driver throwing pasta at another driver.
Nolan Goins, 46, was arrested on a misdemeanour battery charge after the incident on Park Street near Bay Pines Boulevard.
According to an arrest affidavit, Goins became enraged by another driver's headlights and retaliated by throwing a container of pasta with sauce out his window. While the flying food struck the other driver, it caused no injuries.
Adding to the unusual nature of the incident, Goins was later found with matching sauce stains on his shirt.
He was booked into Pinellas County Jail but released on a $1,000 bond the following day.
This isn't the first recent case of pasta-fuelled road rage.
Just over a week prior in Indianapolis, a pregnant woman reported being followed by an SUV driver who threw a container of spaghetti at her car and allegedly brandished a handgun.
The St. Petersburg incident remains under investigation.
