Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement said security forces conducted an intelligence based operation (IBO) in general area Sambaza of Zhob district in Balochistan and killed three terrorists while Major Babar Khan from Mianwali embraced martyrdom defending the motherland.
The statement reads, "During the conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorist location, as result of which three terrorists were sent to hell. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists."
Pakistan Army spokesperson said during the intense exchange of fire, leading his troops from the front, Major Babar Khan (age: 33 years, resident of District Mianwali) having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat.
Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist present in the area, the ISPR DG said in a statement.
Security forces of Pakistan, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts of sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan, and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.

Prime Minister lauded brave soldiers for the successful operation in Zhob, Balochistan. The soldiers of Pakistan Army bravely killed the terrorists and entire nation is proud of its brave Army.
Shahbaz Sharif paid tribute to Major Babar Khan who embraced martyrdom during Zhob IBO. Prime Minister prayed for higher ranks of Major Babar Khan.
“Pakistan Army's sacrifices are eternal for national security, eradication of terrorism. The war will continue till the end of terrorism,” Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said.
