Renowned Pakistani actor Talat Hussain was bid a final farewell as his funeral prayers were held in Karachi.
The veteran actor, who passed away on Sunday, was laid to rest at the DHA Cemetery.
Talat Hussain's funeral was attended by a large number of people, including actors, politicians, and social figures. Former President Arif Alvi, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab, and actors and relatives of the deceased were present to pay their respects.
Murtaza Wahab, while paying tribute to Talat Hussain, said, "He was a very big name, and his void cannot be filled. His work has been seen by generations, and he will always be remembered."

Talat Hussain was born in 1945 in Delhi, India, and began his acting career in 1967 with Pakistan Television. He went on to become a household name in Pakistan's entertainment industry, known for his iconic roles in various TV dramas and films.

His notable works include iconic dramas like Bandish, Karwaan, Hawain, and Parchaiyan, as well as films such as Chiragh Jalta Raha, Gumnaam, and Actor in Law.
Hussain's talent also extended to international projects, including films and television serials. His achievements were recognized with the esteemed Amanda Award (Scandinavian Oscar) in 2006 for his role in the Norwegian film Import-Eksport. Additionally, he was honored with the Pride of Performance award for his outstanding contributions to the arts.
The premier and ministers praised Hussain's contributions to the entertainment industry, saying that his passing had left
a void that cannot be filled. They extended their condolences to his family and fans and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
