In a surprising turn of events, renowned Pakistani scriptwriter, director, and poet Khalilur Rahman Qamar has hinted at casting actress Mahira Khan in his upcoming film, “Mirza Jatt”.
This news comes as a surprise to many, following a history of tension between the two celebrities.
Back in 2020, a social media spat arose after The Legend of Maula Jatt actress criticized acclaimed director’s remarks towards social activist Marvi Sirmad. The scriptwriter, known for his strong opinions, expressed his disapproval of Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad actress’s actions.
Khalilur Rahman Qamar responded in an interview, stating that he didn’t hate Mahira Khan but hated her actions, and that hatred was a feeling that didn't end.
However, it seems that the two have put their differences aside, with Khalilur Rahman Qamar announcing that Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed will star together in “Mirza Jatt”. When asked about their past feud, he simply said, “Yes, there were differences, but now we just have to work.”
