Fans of the popular Pakistani drama 'Ishq Murshid' have reason to celebrate as actor Ali Gul Mallah has confirmed that a second season is in the works.
The drama, which ended on May 5, gained a massive following and left viewers eager for more.
Mallah, known for his signature catchphrase "Bhale", rose to national fame with his portrayal of the comical sidekick to protagonist Bilal Abbas Khan.
In an interview, Ali Gul Mallah, who plays the lovable and comical character Fazal Bakhsh, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to reprise his role. “All the characters from the first part will return, and I'm excited to be a part of it,” he said.
He acknowledged the importance of commercial success in the drama industry, while emphasizing the significance of adapting to audience preferences.
The exciting news about season 2 comes on the heels of a cliffhanger ending in the season 1 finale. The last scene featured Bilal Abbas Khan's character proposing a part 2, to which Mallah’s Fazal Bakhsh enthusiastically agreed. He confirmed that this wasn't just for show, revealing that all the characters from season 1, including Fazal Bakhsh, are expected to return.
The writer of the drama, Abdul Khaliq Khan, had earlier hinted at a second season, sharing that the story was always intended to explore the journey of a boy trying to make his loved ones happy and the challenges he faces along the way.
