Pakistani fans, including media personnel, members of the academia, and industry professionals, attended the gathering at a private residence on Thursday evening.
The 34th US Consul General in Lahore, Kristin K. Hawkins, thanked the participants for attending the event. Hawkins expressed her pleasure at hosting so many enthusiastic cricket fans. This was the first-ever match screening organized by the US Consulate in Lahore.
The participants applauded the consulate for promoting sports diplomacy and encouraging people-to-people contact. Enthusiastic sports fans watched the match on a large screen and praised the American team for their outstanding performance against a strong Pakistan team.
