Akeal Hosein led the charge for the West Indies, capturing five wickets for 11 runs in a brilliant opening spell, which dismantled Uganda and knocked them out for a mere 39 runs, their lowest T20I score to date.
This dominant performance on a slow Providence pitch resulted in a resounding 134-run victory for the West Indies.
Hosein's expert use of swing and seam took out Uganda’s top order. He started by dismissing Roger Mukasa with a seam-up delivery that swung in and struck the batter in front of middle and off.
Hosein then continued his onslaught, taking down Alpesh Ramjani and Riazat Ali Shah with similar precision. By the end of his spell, Uganda was reeling at 23 for 7.

Earlier, the West Indies had managed to post 173 for 5 despite challenging batting conditions.
Johnson Charles anchored the innings with a solid 44 off 42 balls, while Andre Russell added a crucial unbeaten 30 off 17 balls towards the end.
Although Uganda’s bowlers showed grit, the West Indies still managed to add 45 runs in the final four overs.
Uganda demonstrated determination in the field but missed several key opportunities. Despite their efforts, Hosein's remarkable bowling and the West Indies' strong finish overshadowed Uganda’s resilience.
West Indies 173 for 5 (Charles 44, Russell 30*, Masaba 2-31) beat Uganda 39 (Hosein 5-11, Joseph 2-6) by 134 runs.
