Pakistani television actress Momina Iqbal announced the passing of her father in the early hours of Thursday via her Instagram stories.
Momina Iqbal shared the heartbreaking news of her father's passing on Thursday morning. "I am deeply saddened to inform you that my father has passed away," she wrote on her stories.
The post also added a verse from the holy Quran, "As the Quran reminds us, *”Inna lillahi was inna ilayhi raj’un“* _ *(indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to him we will return)*_”
The actor continued to share funeral details and noted that the location was Lahore's Miani Sahab graveyard on Bahawalpur Road and the funeral time was 7:30pm on June 20.
Several social users, including showbiz celebrities, expressed their condolences to the grieving actor.
In October last year, the Iqbal celebrity commemorated the 31st wedding anniversary of her parents. Iqbal shared the pictures from a family outing, penned a heartfelt note for her father, and proudly counted the blessing to be the daughter of a "strong man".
"Thank you Ama Baba for setting an exceptional example of lifelong love," she wrote alongside the family photographs on Instagram.
