The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has launched the Green Pakistan Initiative to modernize agriculture, an essential sector of Pakistan's economy. The initiative aims to develop more than 7 million hectares of previously uncultivated land.
Since the announcement of the Green Pakistan Initiative, both domestic and foreign investors have shown strong interest. Foreign investors have signed contracts to cultivate 140 thousand acres, while 85 domestic investors and companies have committed to cultivating 460 thousand acres of land.
The establishment of the Land Information and Management System aligns agriculture with modern practices, enhancing efficiency and productivity. This development is expected to boost national exports, improve food security, and create more employment opportunities.
Government and military efforts have significantly increased the cultivable area, demonstrating progress in transforming Pakistan's agricultural landscape.
