However, Zaheer Iqbal's father, Iqbal Ratansi, addressed these rumors in a recent interview with the Indian media. He clarified that the wedding will be a civil ceremony, devoid of any religious rituals.
“Sonakshi is not changing her religion,” Ratansi stated. “Their hearts are united, and religion has no role in this marriage. We believe in humanity above all.”
Ratansi emphasized that the ceremony will focus on the love and commitment between Sonakshi and Zaheer, rather than religious differences.
“Hindus believe in God, and Muslims believe in Allah, but at the end of the day, we are all human beings. My best wishes are with Zaheer and Sonakshi,” he added.

Contrary to rumors, Sonakshi’s father, Shatrughan Sinha, expressed his full support for the wedding. Addressing the speculations about his disapproval, he firmly stated, “Why would I not attend her wedding? I will stand by her side. Those spreading fake news are just trying to create unnecessary drama. To them, I say, ‘Quiet, you have nothing to do with this matter. Worry about yourself.’”
