Dr. Mo Segad, a Swedish expert in agriculture, met with senior officials of the Green Pakistan Initiative (GPI) at their headquarters. During the meeting, Dr. Segad was briefed on various sectors of the GPI under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), including agriculture, livestock, and tourism.
The briefing also covered ongoing projects of the Land Information and Management System. GPI plays a key role in cultivating the barren land of the Cholistan Desert, aiming to bring over 4 million acres under cultivation in the coming years.
Impressed by Pakistan's agricultural sector, Dr. Segad expressed willingness to work with GPI on research and development to promote agriculture. GPI focuses on advancing agriculture in Pakistan, aiming to ensure food security and resource conservation through modern technology use.
