Islamabad Accountability Court judge Muhammad Ali Warraich approved the eight-day physical remand of PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi on the plea of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the new Toshakhana reference case.
Imran Khan's lawyer Ch Zaheer Abbas said the anti-graft watchdog asked for a 14-day remand, earlier the court had given a 6-day remand.
“On our request, the court extended the remand for two days. The remand of both has been increased to eight days,” Zaheer Abbas Chaudhry said.
“190 million pound reference is also heard on July 20, so remand has been extended,’ the lawyer said.
Both the accused will be produced in court again on July 22.
