In a major development for the residents of Faisalabad and Quetta, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the commencement of direct flights from the two cities to Saudi Arabia.
Starting August 6, this new service aims to facilitate travel for Umrah pilgrimage and other travel needs for citizens.
PIA officials confirmed that two flights per week will operate between Faisalabad and Quetta each, and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, making the journey more convenient for travellers. Previously, residents of Quetta and Faisalabad had to travel via connecting flights through Karachi, Lahore, or Islamabad, which posed several challenges and inconveniences, they said.
The introduction of direct flights is expected to ease these difficulties, providing a more straightforward and efficient travel experience. PIA officials highlighted that the new service is part of their ongoing efforts to enhance customer convenience and improve connectivity for Faisalabad and Quetta’s citizens.
