Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi have approached the Islamabad High Court challenging their arrests related to the new Toshakhana case.
The petition, filed by Barrister Salman Safdar and Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry, argues that the arrest of both individuals by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is illegal and requests their release. The petition also contends that any arrest in the case should be subject to the orders of the high court.
On the other hand, the Islamabad District and Sessions Court heard bail applications of Imran Khan in six cases and Bushra Bibi in one.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka presided over the bail hearings. During the proceedings, the PTI founder's advocate Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry informed the court that Barrister Salman Safdar is currently occupied with cases in the Lahore High Court. He requested that the hearing be adjourned until the following week.
Judge Majoka noted that a prompt hearing is not feasible at the moment, with the next available slot being in September. On the lawyer's request for an adjournment till next week, the judge said the court’s schedule was heavy next week.
