Islamabad District and Sessions Court Afzal Majoka — who set aside the nikkah in iddat case against PTI founder and his wife Bushra bibi — told PTI activist Sanam Javed that he did not give any favour to anyone and announced the verdict as per the law hearing arguments of lawyers from both sides.
Majoka made three remarks while hearing an FIA appeal against the discharge of Sanam Javed from the case.
PTI activist Sanam Javed appeared before Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka and said: “You did a favor in the Iddat case, thank you,” to which Majoka replied: “I have done justice, I have done no favors to anyone.”
“Lawyers kept coming and argued. I gave a decision according to the law,” judge Majoka told Sanam Javed.
The court allowed Sanam Javed to go back after making her appearance.

On July 13, An Islamabad court acquitted former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the iddat nikah case and also issued their release orders. Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka admitted the appeals and pronounced his reserved verdict. With the appeals admitted, the trial court's decision was set aside.
Majoka issued a 28-page written judgement on the central appeals of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi against their sentences in the iddat nikah case.
According to the judgement, complainant Khawar Maneka failed to prove his allegations that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi got married during her iddat after divorce. According to Maneka's lawyer, his client was deprived of his right to recourse.
During cross-examination, Khawar Maneka himself admitted that he had received the news of the marriage of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi on the second day. "Maneka thought of filing a complaint after six years?" the decision questioned.
