Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan (North), in collaboration with other agencies, successfully foiled smuggling attempts worth over 632 million rupees across various districts of Balochistan from July 1 to 23, 2024. The operations took place in Dera Murad Jamali, Barkhan, Pishin, Chaman, Nushki, Zhob, and Mastung.
The seized items included 28,310 liters of Iranian diesel, 2,652 tires, 287 cartons of cigarettes, and 14 metric tons of sugar and urea fertilizer. Additionally, non-customs paid vehicles, Chinese salt, and mobile phones were confiscated and handed over to customs authorities.
Smugglers were attempting to transport these goods using trucks, passenger buses, and covert routes. FC Balochistan's timely actions prevented these illegal activities.
These anti-smuggling operations demonstrate ongoing efforts to combat illegal trade in the region and protect the country's economic interests.
