Karachi’s Old City area life became miserable as local residents faced a shortage of electricity and gas disturbing people’s routine life.
Residents are left waiting for water for several days in some areas of Old City town of port city Karachi.
Access to clean water
Access to clean water has become a challenge in various areas of Rahimabad, Ali Muhammad Mohalla, Kalri, and Lyari as citizens are forced to get or buy water from far-flung areas.
“So far all complaints filed to Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KWSB) and Karachi’s mayor are unheard,” Old City area chairman Nasir Kareem.
Residents have appealed that the concerned authorities solve this problem at possible.
Potholes affecting Karachi’s infrastructure
Local residents highlighted the condition of potholes on the Natha Khan Bridge road. The sidewalks and footpaths on the road are also in dilapidated condition.
The locals urged the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) to look into the matter at the earliest to avoid any untoward incident.
