The National Computer Emergency Response Team has also refuted rumours of shutdown of ATMs and online bank transactions across the country.
An advisory has been issued by the National Computer Emergency Response Team. The advisory said that according to an investigation conducted by the State Bank of Pakistan and others, no such incident happened. The banking infrastructure in the country is fully functional.
According to the statement, cyber teams are monitoring the security of financial institutions. The objective of the advisory is to remove confusion and uncertainty among the citizens.

Earlier, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) had also denied the rumours regarding the shutdown of ATM machines. “Do not click on suspicious online links and do not share personal information,” the central bank in a statement issued on Monday.
“Users should log out immediately after using an online banking session. Bank customers should review their account statements regularly,” the SBP said.
