Gold prices continued their upward march on Tuesday, reaching an all-time high of Rs 363,700 per tola in the domestic market, according to data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
The price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams also rose sharply by Rs 5,059 to settle at Rs 311,814. Similarly, the rate for 22-karat gold per 10 grams climbed to Rs 285,839, reflecting a gain of Rs 4,637.
In the international market, gold prices surged by $59, hitting $3,454 per ounce, driven by safe-haven demand amid persistent global economic uncertainties.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged, with 24-karat silver per tola holding steady at Rs 3,441, and 10 grams at Rs 2,950. International silver also stood flat at $32.77 per ounce.
Experts attributed the rise in gold prices to the increased global demand for safe-haven assets amid economic uncertainty.
