The second International Food and Agriculture Exhibition, facilitated by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), has concluded with over $1.2 billion in product sales. The three-day event, held at the Expo Center, attracted more than 800 buyers from 75 countries.
Key highlights of the exhibition include:
- 330 Pakistani exporters showcased over 500 quality products
- A delegation of more than 150 buyers from China attended
- 7,000 B2B meetings were conducted
- 36 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed
The MoUs focused on enhancing cooperation in sectors such as rice, processed food, and various fruits and vegetables. A notable $35 million seafood agreement was signed between Pakistani and Chinese companies.
International companies also presented investment proposals in dairy, potato seeds, and beverages sectors.
The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan organized factory visits for foreign delegates, including representatives from Malaysia, Egypt, Tajikistan, and Japan, to promote Pakistani exports.
This SIFC-supported initiative aims to strengthen Pakistan's economy through international investment promotion and agricultural development.
