PTI leader Barrister Gohar has categorically denied any discussions or intentions of holding talks with the Speaker of the National Assembly.
Addressing recent speculations, Barrister Gohar clarified that while meetings between PTI and the Speaker are routine, they are strictly limited to parliamentary and Assembly affairs.
“As an opposition party, our interactions with the Speaker of the National Assembly are focused on the conduct of Assembly business and the parliamentary concerns of the opposition,” Barrister Gohar stated. He emphasized that at no point have negotiations with the Speaker about talks with the government been discussed, nor does the PTI have any plans to do so.
Barrister Gohar further asserted, “No PTI member or delegation has ever approached the Speaker for discussions about engaging with the government. We remain firm in our stance and have no intention of negotiating directly with the government.”
He also dismissed rumors that the PTI had offered to return to talks through the Speaker, reiterating that the party has made no such overtures and stands by its current position.
