Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has been using state resources, including Rescue 1122 vehicles, to support the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in Islamabad as Dozens of operational vehicles, including ambulances, fire trucks, and other emergency response units, were dispatched from KP, with many spotted arriving in Swabi.
Additional resources, such as cranes, actuators, and disaster vehicles, have been mobilized to ensure blocked routes are cleared, if necessary.
DG Rescue 1122 has reportedly instructed each district to send at least two vehicles to assist in the event.
Rescue 1122 personnel have been tasked with accompanying these vehicles, and specific instructions have been issued to provide escorts for convoys of national and provincial assembly members traveling from northern and southern districts.
Two ambulances are to be positioned at the front and rear of each convoy for added security. The deployment of government resources for a political rally has sparked concerns about the inappropriate use of public funds and services.
