An Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) helicopter crashed overnight during a rescue mission, resulting in the deaths of two soldiers, including the lead pilot, and injuring seven others on board.
The accident occurred shortly after midnight while attempting to evacuate a wounded soldier from the field with Unit 669 forces.

According to the IDF, the crash happened close to the ground, and there was no involvement of enemy forces.
An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the accident.
The IDF claimed that they have successfully conducted hundreds of rescue missions in Gaza, saving over 1,700 soldiers without incident until this tragedy.
