Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Shamshad Akbar, a courageous police officer, lost his life while protecting the public from a gang of armed robbers in Shehzad Town on June 3, 2010. ASI Akbar confronted the criminals who were firing in the area, ultimately sacrificing his life in the ensuing shootout.
The fallen officer left behind a widow and children. His family, while grieving, expressed pride in his sacrifice. ASI Akbar's widow described him as an extremely kind and brave individual, stating, "I'm proud of my martyred husband."
The children of the deceased officer shared their feelings about their father's sacrifice. "We miss our father greatly," said his daughter, while his son added, "We're proud that our father sacrificed his life for the protection of the public."
The family acknowledged the difficulty of coping with the loss. "This shock was immense for us, but we endured it with patience," the daughter remarked.
ASI Shamshad Akbar's story serves as a reminder of the risks police officers face in fulfilling their primary duty of protecting citizens' lives and property.
