Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday extolled the efforts of renowned Islamic scholar Dr Zakir Naik for promoting the true image of Islam.
According to details, Dr Naik called on the premier in Islamabad. PM Shehbaz welcomed Dr Naik with verve. “It is a matter of immense delight that the majority of the followers are comprised of the youth. I used to listen to your lectures keenly,” PM Shehbaz said.
Meanwhile, Dr Naik said: “Pakistan is the only country that came into existence in the name of Islam. We will get success if follow the pathway shown by Islam.”
“I am having the mission to spread the message of Islam worldwide,” he added.
On the other side, Dr. Naik said: “It is for the first time that I am visiting Pakistan officially for two weeks. It was 33 years ago that I had arrived in Pakistan for personal reasons. That was the time, I was not making speeches.”
“It was a dream for years to visit Pakistan,” Dr Naik stated.
He maintained: “It is from Pakistan that I have got more invitations.”
“I have few meetings in Islamabad, where I will also meet the religious scholars,” he stated.

Separately, Dr Naik and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Tuesday discussed the challenges faced by the Islamic world.
According to details, Naik called on Rehman in Islamabad. On this occasion, the matters pertaining to the bilateral affairs were highlighted.
Expressing his thoughts, Naik said: "It was my wish to meet Maulana Fazlur Rehman. Today, which has been fulfilled."
