The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has announced that the moon marking the beginning of Zilqad has been sighted across various parts of Pakistan.
A meeting of the Central and Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committees was held on Monday to observe the crescent. Members of the Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, representatives from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and officials from the Meteorological Department participated in the session.
According to sources, credible testimonies of the moon sighting were received from different regions of the country, including Peshawar. Experts from the Meteorological Department earlier predicted that the moon would likely be visible between 6:52pm and 7:50pm.
Following the receipt of multiple testimonies and thorough verification, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee confirmed the sighting. As a result, the first day of Zilqad 1446 AH will be observed tomorrow, Tuesday, April 29.
