Privatisation Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said on Thursday that Pakistan aims to achieve over $4billion in exports from Russia over the next five years.
According to details, expressing his thoughts following the conclusion of the Pak-Russia Trade and Investment Forum in Moscow, Aleem Khan said, "We will give significant importance to the recommendations of the Russian business community to enhance bilateral trade. "
Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) President Abdul Aleem Khan noted the impressive participation of over 100 Russian companies at the forum, alongside 70 major Pakistani business leaders.
He emphasised the necessity of addressing challenges faced by businesses from both countries, including transportation, logistics, and banking channels. "We must work on alternative payment methods and mechanisms to facilitate trade," he added.
The federal minister also expressed gratitude for the Russian business community’s engagement and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to take every possible step to encourage investment, supported by a proactive role from the Pakistani embassy in Russia.
– Aleem Khan emphasises effective marketing for privatisation –
Few days back, Aleem Khan emphasised the need for effective marketing for the institutions undergoing privatisation.
According to details, Aleem Khan had chaired a meeting of the Privatisation Commission Board, during which the progress on the privatisation of various institutions was reviewed, including the deliberations on the Agricultural Development Bank (ADP).
Aleem Khan said: "It is crucial to ensure a competitive environment and achieve the goal of successful privatisation."
A key decision made during the meeting was the formation of a negotiations committee to oversee the privatisation process. The discussions also revolved around the appointment of financial advisors and several other related matters.
