The situation surrounding the arrest of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur remains unclear, with conflicting reports emerging as a heavy contingent of Rangers and police sealed the KP House in Islamabad on Saturday.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur is reportedly present inside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad, where there is a tight security cordon outside. Islamabad Police and paramilitary forces personnel are stationed outside KP House.
Meanwhile, dozens of PTI workers who reached KP House have been arrested.
On the other hand, Barrister Dr Saif, an adviser to the KP government, stated that CM Gandapur has not been formally arrested and is currently on bail until October 25, adding that a heavy contingent of Rangers and police is present inside KP House.
“If the chief minister is arrested, it would be a clear violation of the court's orders and an insult to the people’s mandate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” Barrister Saif said, warning that such action would be in contempt of court.
"Rangers personnel have sealed KP House in Islamabad," Saif claimed.

On the other hand, security sources have indicated that legal action is being pursued against Gandapur for his alleged involvement in attacking the state, damaging government property, and misusing state resources. The security presence in and outside KP House intensified throughout the day, leading to speculation that Gandapur could be taken into custody at any moment.
Adding to the confusion, PTI leader Omar Ayub claimed that the chief minister had already been arrested from KP House, though this has yet to be confirmed by official sources.
Barrister Saif further noted that all attempts to contact Gandapur had failed, as his phone remains switched off. "We are trying to verify the situation ourselves, but no one is responding," he added.
In the meantime, Rangers personnel reportedly stormed into KP House. Faisal Amin Gandapur, the brother of the KP chief minister, claimed the heavy presence of Rangers at the residence, but also refrained from confirming the arrest.
