Constable Abdul Hameed Shah, who was brutally attacked during a PTI protest on October 4, 2024, succumbed to his injuries, according to his family.
Despite clear evidence, politician Omar Ayub allegedly started a misleading narrative, claiming that Shah died of a heart attack, a statement that has been vehemently denied by the martyr's sons.
During a televised interview yesterday, Omar Ayub incorrectly attributed Shah's death to high blood pressure and a heart attack. He also falsely claimed that Shah's sons supported this version. However, the sons of the martyred constable, Nauman Abdul Hameed Shah and Hamad Hameed Shah, issued a video statement refuting Ayub’s assertions.
According to Nauman Abdul Hameed Shah, "The medical report clearly shows severe injuries on my father’s head and other parts of his body. I appeal to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the IG Islamabad, and the Army Chief to provide us justice and ensure that his murderers face strict punishment."
Hamad Hameed Shah also commented, "My father was martyred during the PTI protest on October 4. The CT scan report reveals head trauma and injuries to his chest. Using politics for violent acts and spreading lies for personal gain has become the norm for this political party. There should be no room for violence and destruction under the guise of political protests."
Legal experts have stressed that the perpetrators behind Constable Abdul Hameed Shah’s murder should be made an example, facing the full force of the law for their crimes.
