Notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has disclosed a hit-list comprising five key targets, with Bollywood actor Salman Khan at the top.
This information comes from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) as it questions Bishnoi, currently incarcerated in Gujarat's Sabarmati jail, regarding the recent murder of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique.
Siddique was shot dead outside his office in Mumbai on Saturday night, prompting a thorough investigation into the involvement of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Shortly after the murder, a gang member claimed responsibility, placing the gang under intense scrutiny from law enforcement agencies.
The NIA's inquiry into Bishnoi has unearthed alarming details about his intentions.
According to documents, Bishnoi harbours a vendetta against Salman Khan, stemming from an incident in 1998 when the actor was implicated in the killing of a blackbuck, an act viewed as sacrilege by the Bishnoi community.
Bishnoi had previously dispatched his associate, Sampat Nehra, to surveil Khan's residence in Mumbai, but the plan was thwarted when Nehra was arrested by the Haryana Police Special Task Force.
Earlier this year, in April, gunmen targeted Khan’s home, firing multiple shots before fleeing. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The remaining individuals on Bishnoi's hit-list include:
-
Shaganpreet Singh: The manager of the late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala. Bishnoi believes Singh provided refuge to the assailants involved in the murder of Vicky Middukhera, a close associate whom Bishnoi regarded as an elder brother. He seeks retribution through Singh's elimination.
-
Mandeep Dhariwal: An associate of absconding gangster Gaurav Padial, Dhariwal is implicated in aiding the killers of Middukhera. He was killed in the Philippines, with the Goldy Brar gang, connected to the Bishnoi gang, claiming responsibility for the murder.
-
Kaushal Chaudhary: A notorious gangster currently imprisoned in Gurugram, Chaudhary is linked to the Bambiha gang and is accused of supplying weapons to Middukhera's killers. Bishnoi has expressed a strong desire to eliminate Chaudhary at any cost.
-
Amit Dagar: A jailed gangster associated with a rival gang, Dagar is implicated in the murder of Middukhera and is a close ally of Chaudhary. He has confessed to several murders and is involved in numerous extortion cases.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang, notorious for its extensive criminal network comprising over 700 shooters across 11 states, is drawing comparisons to the infamous empire of Dawood Ibrahim.
The escalating violence, particularly after Siddique's murder, has brought the gang back into the spotlight, highlighting the severe threat it poses to public safety.
