In the wake of the tragic death of renowned politician Baba Siddique, actor Salman Khan is mourning the loss while facing increased security measures outside his residence.
According to reports from the Indian media, police have deployed constables to the vicinity of Khan's home, where fans are no longer allowed to take selfies or record videos as they previously did.
In a further tightening of security protocols, media personnel have also been prohibited from shooting outside the actor's residence.
The police have installed a CCTV camera to monitor movements around Khan’s property, and an escort vehicle has been assigned to accompany the actor. Additionally, Khan is reportedly receiving Y-plus security from the Special Reserve Police Force.
Following the news of Siddique's passing, Salman Khan cancelled all scheduled meetings and requested that his colleagues in Bollywood refrain from visiting him for a few days as a sign of respect.
Celebrities including Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, and Raj Kundra have expressed their condolences by visiting the bereaved family at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai police have made progress in the investigation, arresting two of the three assailants involved in the attack on Siddique.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde confirmed that the arrested individuals hail from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, while the third suspect remains at large.
