Prince Harry has reportedly added to King Charles's distress amid growing concerns for the monarch's health.
Following a serious warning from his doctors about the need to reduce his public engagements, the Duke of Sussex's memoir, Spare, was released in paperback, coinciding with the King’s tour of Australia and Samoa.
The timing of the book's re-release has sparked criticism, as it unfolds during a significant royal tour. Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams commented on the situation, noting the potential implications of Harry's decision.
"It is open to question whether Harry chose the date of the release of his memoir, Spare, or whether its publishers Random House decided on it," Fitzwilliams stated in an interview with Express.
He further remarked, “However, it is inconvenient, to put it mildly, that it is in the middle of a highly significant royal tour for King Charles.” Fitzwilliams suggested that some might perceive this as another instance of the Sussexes attempting to dominate the media spotlight.
This development comes as King Charles publicly acknowledged the need for a more measured approach to his royal duties, following advice from his medical team during a recent address in Samoa. As concerns mount regarding the King's health, the focus now shifts to the potential impact of Harry’s memoir on the royal family dynamics and public perception.
