Singer Momina Mustahsan has come to the defence of Aima Baig after fellow artist Sara Raza Khan criticized Aima’s reliance on autotune.
Sara recently claimed that without autotune, Aima “is not a singer at all,” sparking widespread reactions on social media.
Autotune, a digital tool that enhances vocals, especially during live performances, often stirs debate over its role in the music industry.
In response to the remarks, Momina took to Instagram to express her support for Aima, describing her as “one of the best” in the industry. She praised Aima’s natural talent, affirming that she does not need autotune to prove her skills.
However, Momina also acknowledged Sara Raza Khan’s vocal abilities, adding, “Sara Raza Khan is also a good singer and does not need autotune,” thus fostering a balanced conversation.
Momina’s remarks have resonated with fans, with many voicing their support for both artists and recognizing the constructive tone Momina adopted. Her defence of Aima encourages a broader discussion about the use of technology in music production and the genuine talent of female artists in Pakistan’s competitive music industry.
