Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar emphasized the critical role of maintaining law and order in driving economic and social development in Balochistan.
During a meeting of the Provincial Apex Committee in Quetta, the Caretaker Prime Minister chaired the session, where both political and military leadership converged on a unified vision for peace and progress in the province.
Kakar underlined the significance of establishing law and order as a prerequisite for the province’s prosperity and economic advancement. He also expressed confidence in the actions of the provincial government and extended his assurance of full cooperation.
Balochistan’s vast mineral wealth was acknowledged during the meeting, with the interim PM stressing the importance of ensuring that the benefits of federal-level initiatives reach the province's people.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir pledged full support from the military in operations aimed at combating illegal activities and preventing economic losses.
The meeting also included comprehensive briefings on issues such as the repatriation of illegal immigrants, the security of foreign workers in the province, currency smuggling, hoarding of foreign currency, and the activities of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
