A meeting of the Punjab provincial cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, was held in Lahore to discuss recent developments.
The cabinet strongly condemned the violent protests by PTI workers and the attacks on police and Rangers personnel.
The cabinet announced a special package for those affected by the protests, including the martyrs and injured individuals. A financial package of Rs. 1 million has been approved for the injured police and Rangers personnel.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stated that 172 police officers were injured due to the brutality of PTI workers during the protests. The government has vowed to support the victims and take strict action against those responsible for the violence.
