On Monday, the price of 24-karat gold in Pakistan surged to Rs202,000 per tola. Those interested in 22-karat gold could acquire it at Rs186,083 per tola.
For individuals looking to purchase smaller quantities, the rates remain equally appealing. Currently, 10 grams of 24-karat gold are priced at Rs174,040, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold can be obtained for Rs159,536.
According to reports, gold, much like the dollar during the caretaker government's tenure, has become more affordable. During this period, the cost of 24-carat gold per tola decreased significantly to Rs202,000, compared to its earlier price of Rs222,000.
As a result, 10 grams of gold, according to local gold dealers, is now available at Rs173,182 rupees, marking a substantial reduction in its cost. This shift in gold prices is primarily due to a significant drop in the value of the dollar.
Conversely, while gold prices in the international market surged to $24 per ounce, amounting to $1,938, the local market in Pakistan witnessed a contrary trend.
It's crucial to note that gold rates in Pakistan can change multiple times throughout the day in response to global market dynamics.
