Processions held across Pakistan on Thursday to mark the Chehlum of Imam Hussain (RA) and other martyrs of Karbala culminated peacefully.
Processions of varying sizes were taken out in different cities across the country to commemorate the tragedy.
The police, paramilitary Rangers, and other law enforcement agencies worked together to secure the events.
In Karachi, the main Chehlum procession was the largest in the country. It kicked off from Nishtar Park and concluded at Imambargah Hasina Iraniyan Khara Dar.

Shops along the procession route remained closed. The bomb disposal squad also swept the procession's path.
Only vehicles with special passes were granted access to the procession route, and MA Jinnah Road remained closed for general traffic during the event.
Meanwhile, in Quetta, two processions were planned for Chehlum. To secure these events, 28 entrances to the procession routes had been blocked.
As many as 3,500 police personnel were deployed, alongside 2,000 personnel from FC and Levies. Aerial surveillance was also be part of the security measures. Mobile services remained partially suspended for the occasion, and pillion riding was also prohibited in specific jurisdictions.
