Young Pakistani cricket star Saim Ayub has found himself at the centre of a social media debate after a video surfaced showing a fan’s disrespectful behaviour towards him.
Currently in London for a series of fundraising events, the left-handed batter was put in an uncomfortable situation by an overzealous female fan.

In the now-viral video, the fan calls Saim Ayub over for a picture and instructs her friends to take a full-body shot of them together. However, Saim appears visibly uncomfortable and quickly walks away. Rather than letting it go, the fan reacts by saying, “Nothing will happen to you if you stop for a picture for two minutes,” before turning back to her friends and later calling his behaviour “rude.”
The video has sparked a strong reaction from cricket fans, with many criticizing the fan’s disrespectful attitude and praising Saim Ayub for maintaining his composure.
One user wrote, “Saim’s parents raised him well. He could have reacted negatively, but he chose to stay calm. More respect to him.” Another user commented, “She treated our cricketer badly. Action should be taken against such behaviour.”
Many also pointed out how celebrities and sports figures deserve personal space and should not be forced into uncomfortable interactions.
